About our Online Classes

Hi everyone! We hope you are all coping as well as possible with the very unusual situation we find ourselves faced with. It is certainly a strange time, but we believe every problem comes with a gift for us in its hands. This can be an opportunity for all of us to remember what is truly important in life; to realise how dependent we have become on certain things in our lives, which ultimately, we will discover are relatively unimportant, and to rediscover and appreciate what we may have taken for granted, and which we now realise are the things we really need to treasure, like family, community, nature.

For us, it has been so important to bring the Shala online, so that we can use our Yoga to help us and you to navigate this time of uncertainty and change in the smoothest way possible.

PLEASE NOTE AUTUMN Online Class Schedule. Tuesday and Thursday morning classes begin at 06:00am and the Monday and Wednesday evening classes are at 18:00.

There is one class each day at the moment (Saturday to Thursday inclusive, with a day off on Friday!). You can buy a Pass for the week, or a drop-in class for any given day by registering on Momoyoga (Click Here to Register). Having registered you can purchase a pass and then you book your class on the class schedule, either online or on the App. When you have booked an online class, you will be sent the link for the class 30 mins before the class begins. About the classes

The Asana and Pranayama classes at 06:00 (Tues and Thurs mornings) will be led asana(posture) practice for about 60mins, geared to built our strength and flexibility, and is suitable for all. This will be followed by Pranayama(breathing techniques) practice, which will be led for beginners (for about 25 mins), while experienced practitioners can do their own prescribed pranayama practices at their own pace. Final relaxation will be done independently.

The Traditional Yoga Class at 18:00 (Mon and Wed evenings) is suitable for everyone, whether new to Yoga or an old hand. We will have Meditation or Centering, Postures, Breathing techniques and Relaxation – all geared to calming the nervous system and strengthening the immune system. (In Ayurvedic terms, this is described as a Vata and Pitta pacifying class.)

The Led Asana Class on Saturday will be a strong asana class. This class is suited more to students with some Yoga experience, but all can join if they work at their own level. (Ayurvedically, this is very suited to those with an excess of Kapha.)

IMPORTANT: The Week Class Pass will give you access to 6 classes Mon to Sat, or a Drop-in Pass will give you access only to a single drop-in class within the week of purchsae.

IMPORTANT: Booking for all Online Class Passes or Drop-Ins must now be done through MomoYoga. To do this:

 

  • Click on the button below and it will bring you to the Ashtanga Yoga Dublin MomoYoga Registration Page.
  • Fill in the registration form to set up Ashtanga Yoga Dublin Momoyoga account
  • Once you have registered, go to the schedule and click on the date of the class you would like to attend.
  • You will then be asked to purchase a class pass or drop-in and directed to a list of products available
  • Select Online Weekly Pass or Online Drop-In
  • Once you have a Pass or a Drop-In, you can book into the class of your choice
  • When you purchase an Online Weekly Class Pass you must book into each class you wish to attend in order to receive the link for that class. Links are send automatically, at latest 30 mins before a class begins
  • When you book a class you will immediately receive an email confirmation of your booking if it has been successful. If you do not receive a confirmation e-mail, please call us.(please note that the link to join the class may arrive later)
  • Please note that the purchased Online Weekly Class Pass is valid only for the six classes from the Monday to the Sunday of the calendar week in which the class is bought.
  • Download the Momoyoga App to your phone for ease of purchasing passes and making bookings.

We strongly advise that if you are participating in these online classes that you do so with your video turned on, as if we cannot see you, we are unable to guide you. Remember that Yoga is an individual experience. You progress at your own pace, and if you experience any pain or discomfort, you should listen to your body and adjust the posture, and/or stop and rest when needed.

You understand there is an inherent risk associated with any exercise program, including your voluntary participation in yoga that may result in injury.

You understand and are aware that the components of yoga are potentially hazardous activities and may cause injury.

You acknowledge that you have either 1.) had a medical examination and/or have been given permission by your doctor to participate in a yoga program or 2.) that you have decided to participate in a yoga program voluntarily and without the approval of your doctor and personally assume all responsibility for your participation in the online yoga classes/videos or any other yoga activity associated with Ashtanga Yoga Dublin.

You, your heirs, and legal representatives do hereby forever waive and release Ashtanga Yoga Dublin, from any and all liability and responsibility for any injury, accident, illness, legal and medical fees sustained now or in the future, resulting from your participation in any yoga classes, videos or activities organised by Ashtanga Yoga Dublin.

You understand that Ashtanga Yoga Dublin is not a licensed medical care provider and that it does not represent that it has any expertise in diagnosing, examining, or treating medical conditions of any kind, or in determining the effect of any specific exercise on a medical condition.

By purchasing a weekly class pass, drop-in class or other package or class type, I acknowledge that I have read, understood and accept all of these Terms and Conditions.
