Online Yoga Teacher Training Course
Why train to be a Yoga Teacher with us?
At Ashtanga Yoga Dublin we have been training Yoga Teachers for over 10 years. Yoga Teacher Training is something we are passionate about because we believe that to be a Yoga teacher is something really special and worthwhile, a way to genuinely contribute to making the world a better place, by helping people to fulfil their potential and to be as happy and healthy as they can be. We believe that to teach well, we need to be rooted in the traditions of yoga, to understand from personal experience why we do Yoga, what it is, and how to do it correctly – we have to live and experience it ourselves to be able to pass it on to someone else. For us, Yoga is a way of life and we developed our courses to provide a genuinely vocation-oriented training in Yoga practice and philosophy. We will share with you our combined experience of more than forty years of practice and study of all aspects of Yoga.
In addition to in-depth weekend training, you will attend weekly live streamed classes with us, and undertake continuous partner project work with your fellow trainees and monitored by the tutors. Every hour of the weekends Modules and weekly classes is live-streamed and is live contact-time with the tutors. Recorded material is available as a resource but all the training is in person. get in touch now to talk to us about the course.

A brief overview of the Course
Our teacher training focuses on four main areas:
We help you to develop a STRONG PERSONAL PRACTICE of postures, breathing techniques and meditation, and will underscore this with practice supportive lifestyle and nutrition principles from Ayurveda.
We teach you a broad syllabus of POSTURES IN GREAT DETAIL, including the anatomy, physiology, alignment, benefits, contraindications and modifications, as well as the practical steps of teaching postures to students of all levels. We show you how to design, sequence and teach different types of classes – from gentle to more dynamic. We teach you how to incorporate Ayurveda, structuring classes to balance different constitutions.
We give you a solid FOUNDATION IN THE PHILOSOPHY OF YOGA from the classical texts of Patanjali Yoga Sutra, Bhagavad Gita and Hatha Pradipika, so that you understand not just the what, but most importantly the why and the how of Yoga.
Additionally, we teach you the PRINCIPLES OF AYURVEDA and its relationship with Yoga practice; the Subtle Anatomy system of Chakras and Nadis; chanting of Yoga Sutra and Sanskrit Mantra; the history of Yoga.
